Canadian Solar is based in Guelph, Ontario and is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of solar panels. It sells the panels as part of turnkey solar power plants. The company was founded in 2001 and has been public since 2006. It employs13,000 people in 24 countries. Most of its manufacturing facilities are in Canada and China, including two plants in Ontario.
