Reckitt Benckiser PLC (LSE: RKT; OTC: RBGLY)

one of the world’s leading producers of consumer household products

Reckitt Benckiser (RB) had sold off in 2024 following a negative trial result that found Mead Johnson’s premature infant formula Enfamil caused a bowel disease, necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). There was no scientific basis for the decision, which has now been dismissed. Infant formula is only 10% of RB’s revenues and premature formula a very small portion of those sales. The 15% fall in the share price seemed to be an overreaction and, since the recommendation, the shares have risen 20%. Additionally, shareholders received a £1.6 billion special dividend following the divestment of Essential Home to private equity firm Advent at the end of 2025.
