BMO Equal Weight Utilities Index ETF (TSX: ZUT)

This ETF provides exposure to the biggest Canadian utilities.

The ETF replicates the performance of the Solactive Equal Weight Canada Utilities Index net of expenses. It holds the stocks in the same proportion as they are reflected in the index. The fund is 2.6% higher year-to-date, matching the TSX, and 20% in the past 52 weeks.


Income Investor

The portfolio consists of 15 stocks. The largest holdings are Innergex Renewable (9.7%), which is being sold to Quebec’s Caisse de Depot, Emera (7.8%), TransAlta Corp. (7.8%), Alta Gas (7.5%), and Fortis (7.23%). The ETF has $533 million in assets and a management fee of 0.61%. Almost half of the holdings are also on the recommended list of The Income Investor.
