Canadian Utilities Preferred Shares Series FF (TSX: CU.PR.I)

This preferred is just about the oldest minimum rate reset on the market, and therefore has one of the longest track records of any preferred of its type. It is also one of the few issues that has an investment-grade credit rating.

Switch to Hold from Buy. There is nothing wrong with this issuer or this issue. It is simply the case that its price has risen well above par. In theory, it should drift back down to something like par at its next reset date. If it does that, then we may switch it back to a Buy. Stay tuned.- Paul Bamford
